Jake posted a new guitar tutorial today, this one is for "Youth And Whiskey." He also said that he recorded a tutorial for "Rebel Love Song" and that one will be up soon, too! Here's the clip from CSI: NY that included the song 'The Legacy' We did it BVB Army! The winner of the final category in the AP Readers' Poll 2011 was announced and Black Veil Brides won "Band Of The Year!" Here's what Andy had to say about the final win, “It won’t surprise anyone to hear that I believe that we should be band of the world – if not band of the universe – every year. [Laughs.] But it’s an honor. We worked very hard this year, and if anything, I’m proud of our fans for believing in what they believe in and showing it so adamantly. An accolade like this really lets you know that the people you’re connecting with are behind you and want others to know that, and to have the opportunity to mean that much to such a large number of people is really cool. And to have the opportunity to piss that many people off just by doing what you’re doing is also fun!” For a complete list of all the categories we won or got runners-up in the AP Readers' Poll, click "Read More."
Today BVB won "Album Of The Year" in the AP Readers' Poll 2011, here's what Andy had to say, "When we were making that record, we really got the feeling that when it came out, it was going to change things for us, and it really did. We put out the record and things went to a whole different level in terms of our career. However, as proud of that album as we are, I’m ready to go make another one, because with Set The World On Fire doing so well and meaning so much to our audience we owe it to them – and ourselves – to make a record of the same caliber, if not better.” They also won "Song Of The Year" for Fallen Angels! Andy's response, “I don’t think we’ve yet written the definitive Black Veil Brides song, but this was an attempt to give our fans a true anthem and something that was more of a call to arms, so to speak. It’s about being different and being an outcast but not necessarily being the kind of person that wants to revel in that. We don’t want to be on the fringes of society, we just want to have fun in our lives, and a lot of times because of that the rebellious kids and the weird kids are the outcasts of society. I feel that on a personal level, if I could have had that song in my life when I was twelve or thirteen years old, letting me know there were people out there who felt the same, it would have meant a lot to me, and I think that’s why it means a lot to our audience.”
Rebel Love Song and Saviour were also both runners-up! P.S. For some reason, the WGRD poll is still going and we're totally losing to Falling In Reverse. Go vote HERE. So far Black Veil Brides has been dominating in the AP Readers' Poll, and today they won two more categories and got runners-up in two others! They won "Music Video Of The Year" for Rebel Love Song and Fallen Angels was a runner-up in the same category! They, unfortunately, "won" "Overrated Band Of The Year." They also were runners-up for "Bonus Track Of The Year" (for Smoke And Mirrors) and for "Cover Art Of The Year."
Results for a few categories are being released each day for the AP Readers Poll. I posted yesterday about some of the categories BVB won, and today they have even more!
1. Andy won "Vocalist Of The Year" 2. Black Veil Brides won "Live Band Of The Year 2011" and Andy said this about the win: “I don’t know any bands that put on a better show than us. There’s obviously bands that choreograph their stage movements better than us, and who jump in place at the same time better than us--and that’s entertaining, to a degree. But as far as giving a hundred and ten percent of ourselves every time we’re on stage, we never hold back – and I think that’s made evident in that I’ve broken just about every bone in my body on stage this last year! [Laughs.]” 3. CC won "Drummer Of The Year" 4. Jake and Jinxx were both runners-up in "Guitarist Of The Year" 5. Ashley Purdy was runner-up in "Bassist Of The Year" 6. Black Veil Brides was runner-up in "Friendliest Band Twitterer" On top of all that, Black Veil Brides also won Best Song, Best Video, and Best Album in the Kerrang! Reader's Poll. However, they also got Worst Band. But at least people are paying attention, right? Oh, AND the Rebels EP is in the Top 10 EP's of 2011 over at Guitar World! They also put Set The World On Fire in the Top 50 Albums of 2011! |
